What
Is STET? The Systematic Training for
Effective Teaching (STET) ® program has been around since 1980.
It is based on the principles of psychology that were introduced by Dr.
Alfred Adler in the early 1900’s. Dr.
Adler’s approach to psychology was one of teaching, training, and helping
people understand by making things clear, concise, and user-friendly.
When STET® was first published, the basic idea was the same

to make the paradigm shift. Total program length = 18- 20 Contact Hours. Class
format = Classes can be set up to take place weekly (or every other week) after
school over a period of several weeks (the length of each class will determine
the number of classes). This format is typically chosen by schools that do not
have training days left in the school year to facilitate the School-based
